Do you want to rent out your property? Then it is wise to have a pre- and final inspection of the living space (or have it carried out) and to take photos of the initial and final situation.
This prevents discussion at a later date because as a landlord you have a black and white statement about the condition of the house at the start of the rental period. Your tenant is responsible for delivering the house in the same condition in which the tenant obtained the house. As a landlord, you have the burden of proof to demonstrate that any damage was not present upon initial delivery.
Only with a complete inspection report can you claim deductions from the deposit as settlement
